If you know me, you know there are very few things I love more in this world than TV. I spend a lot of my down time, and even some of the time I'm supposed to be working (yikes) looking for the best TV shows. Here's a list of my top 10 favorite TV shows (in no particular order)!
1. Psych

Okay, maybe this one is in order. Psych is the MOST underrated show. It's one I can rewatch over and over again and never get sick of it! If you like a good detective-comedy, I will always recommend this one. This show never fails to make me smile but also leave me on the edge of my seat. Shawn Spencer is insanely smart, goofy, and never fails to pull at your heart strings at just the right moments. When they took it off Netflix in the middle of my third binge, I wasn't the same for a week. I may or may not have been guilty of messaging Netflix about it... but that's a story for a different day. It also makes me giggle that I'm a psych major and my favorite show is psych. Coincidence.... I think NOT! Regardless, watch it. You won't regret it.
Where to Watch: Prime Video
2. Gilmore Girls

A timeless classic. I have rewatched the entirety (of course, including Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life) and I haven't gotten sick of it yet. If you're looking for a show that can make you laugh, cry, and really feel like you're apart of the show all in one episode, you have met your match. I loved watching this, and I particularly liked Rory's storyline because I saw a lot of myself in her. Also, this is 100% where my coffee addiction stems from, so thanks Lorelai!
Where to Watch: Netflix
3. New Girl

I'm not really sure if I want to marry Nick Miller, or if I am the female version of Nick Miller. The only thing I do know is that this show is h y s t e r i c a l. It makes me happy on my saddest days and I think my roommates are probably getting sick of my cackling while watching it. It's a shame it ended, but good thing we have streaming services that allows me to watch it whenever I want. Also, You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC has a special place in my heart because of one of my favorite scenes in the show. Leave a comment if you know what scene it is #iykyk. P.S. if psych didn't have such a special place in my heart, this would be my favorite show.
Where to Watch: Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video
4. The Vampire Diaries

Three words I have to say about this show: The Salvatore Brothers. Ok, I'm joking... mostly. Besides them, this show truly reels you in and leaves you changed forever. People label it as a teen show, but honestly, I disagree. Sure, mostly teens watched it when it was on air, but I think it's a show that everyone can enjoy. If you like your good old fashioned vampire drama (and honestly who doesn't?) then give this a watch!
Where to Watch: Netflix, for now at least. Rumor has it, it'll be taken off soon. So get your binge on quick!
5. Supernatural
Sorry Mom!

Wow. The first show I ever binge watched... here began my downward spiral. This show will always have a special place in my heart, even if I skip a few seasons here and there. The only thing about this show that could definitely turn you away from it; it's been on the air for 14 seasons and is still going strong. I'd be lying to you if I said that I've finished the series entirely up until this point. Regardless, it's still on my must watch list and probably always will be. Obviously you can see a recurring theme that I like shows about supernatural characters, but a tiger can't change its stripes and I will never stop watching these shows! I have never gotten bored with this show and something new and exciting happens every episode. If you give it the chance, it has the potential to be one of your favorites too!
Where to Watch: Netflix
6. Dexter
( If you're reading this when I post it in Match 2019, I am writing a paper on Dexter for my research class so I may be a little biased on this being one of my favorites. I guarantee that I would still love it even if my grade didn't depend on it hehe )

You probably have heard mixed reviews on this show, and honestly, I will agree with those reviews. The show is AMAZING, the ending on the other hand, subpar. A little disclaimer; if blood makes you squeamish, this is absolutely not the show for you and I recommend you stay as far away from it as possible. But if it doesn't bother you, this show will be something you cannot quit. Trust me, even though you want to hate Dexter so bad, you just can't. You'll see why. Just please give it the chance instead of believing the reviews!!
Where to Watch: Netflix, Showtime
7. Brooklyn Nine-Nine

UgH I am SORRY I know a lot of my shows are mainstream but they're so good and I can't help it. B99 is no different. Detective shows are everything to me, especially detective comedies. I've literally had to pause this show multiple times because I was laughing way too hard. I always like a show that can give you new phrases to use within your own life. The Nine-Nine gives its viewers an unlimited amount of catchphrases; how thoughtful of them. I like this show a lot because while being extremely funny, it isn't problematic like other shows. Plus, you don't realize how much you love Andy Samberg until you watch this show.
Where to Watch: Hulu, Prime Video
8. Young & Hungry

So underrated and so so amazing. This show is everything I could want. It's cute, funny, dramatic at times, involves food, and the main character's name is Gabi! Ok, this spelling is off but I'll let it slide because her best friend's name is Sophia and this makes me so happy because my sister's name is also Sofia. HOW CRAZY! Besides incredible taste in names, this show has so much to offer. It's lighthearted, which is something I look for in a show! There's not much I can say about this show except asking you to watch it!
Where to Watch: Netflix, Prime Video
9. Scream
Feef, if you're reading, this one's for you sis!

A show that was ahead of its time and ended way too soon. MTV was really onto something when they crafted this beauty, but alas, they had to crush my dreams and end it. This one's a scarier one, if we can really call it that. I don't know if when this came out, my sister and I were just looking for something to watch and we hyped it up a lot, but we couldn't WAIT to watch it every week. It was something we really bonded over and I don't know if I love this show more because of the storyline or because of the sentimental value I hold it with, Regardless, we love her. Plus if it's Gaby AND Sofia approved, you should know it's a hit.
Where to Watch: Netflix, Prime Video
10. White Collar

Wow, typical Gaby talking about a (sort of) detective show yet again. I watched this show back in high school and it's just so. good. This show is super cool. It starts off a bit slow, so that's a little off-putting but worth it. It's not funny like the other detective shows I listed, but it isn't so serious where you have to take a break after watching a few episodes in a row. It's my perfect happy medium. It also differs from the other detective shows a lot because it involves a criminal helping out a detective, rather than just watching detectives in their natural habitat. Plus, Matt Bomer.... A+++.
Where to Watch: Hulu, Prime Video
And there you have it! Hopefully you watch some of these shows and love them just as much as I do. If you do, shoot me a message and let know! Thanks for stopping by!
Laters,
